To do that, we are looking for a leader to help us build the most efficient E-commerce machine in our industry.

The Mission

We are seeking a senior operational leader who sees operations not as a "cost center," but as the primary driver of our customer promise and profitability. Your mission is to streamline operations and ensure swift processes become a momentum driver. You are an individual who is eager to find inefficiencies, relentless in your drive to simplify the complex and excited to shape a top-notch tech stack to build a scalable, automated, and world-class operation from the ground up. You don't stop at strategy but ensure a team of operators actually builds what we envision.

The Role

This is not a "business as usual" role. You will be tasked with the following challenges:

  • Lead the Team: You will lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team. You will foster a culture of data-driven accountability and continuous improvement, where not a day should go by without some improvement being made. You help to shape the department so the team setup, the skills in the team and the responsibilities of the team members match our target and pace of optimization.
    Hire top "A-Player" talent ahead of the growth curve to future-proof the team's capabilities in technology and process management.
  • Extend the strategy: You shape the longterm strategy, analyze P&L impact areas and possible investments to ensure our future setup brings the best results. You are fast at understanding the business model, so you don't just cut costs but create improvements where they matter most. You don't see operations only at a cost center and therefore differentiate between cost reduction and value creation.
  • Operationalize the core: You will lead the team to map our core processes --to identify and eradicate the bottlenecks, manual hand-offs, and data silos that hold us back. You ensure this is not a one-off approach but a flywheel effect of efficiency we can spark. You bring in new approaches to spot skill gaps or technical solutions to take us further ahead. You can streamline both inter-departmental operations as well as processes between tech platforms, where architecture and data connections need to be improved.
  • Own the responsibility: You are responsible for the outcome of KPI improvements in the department as well as the budgets we set and you have the toolset to intervene early enough if results are off track to bring them back on course. You don't shy away from ownership when you need to be close and find the balance between "making your hands dirty" and delegation.
  • Prioritize & communicate: Recognize and set clear priorities, ensuring that your team always focuses on what truly matters. Communicate transparently and respectfully, maintaining an open dialogue with your team and leading on equal footing.

The Tools You'll Work with

You are a strategist, not just a manager. You will have the mandate and budget to optimize and build upon our tool stack, which includes:

  • E-commerce Platform
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • AI/ML Platforms (for forecasting and personalization)
  • Customer Service Helpdesks

What We're Looking For

  • A proven track record of transforming, not just managing e-commerce/retail operations in a high-growth environment.
  • A "process-first" mindset. You may be a certified Lean Six Sigma expert, or you may just be naturally obsessed with finding the "why" behind the "what" and simplifying procedures.
  • Deep technical fluency. You must be able to hold strategic, in-depth conversations with engineers about API integrations, ERP workflows, and AI strategy to ensure we use the best solution for our operations.
  • Holistic business acumen. You understand that logistics, customer support, and marketing are not silos, but an interconnected system that defines the customer experience and business model. You build for business impact, not isolated KPIs.
  • A "builder" mentality with the tenacity to drive change and a passion for creating high-performance, high-accountability teams. You create the surroundings you want to see. You are motivated for growth and improvement beyond what is needed. You have internalized an approach to filter priorities and ensure execution on them - and have the ability to teach this approach.
  • Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills in both written and spoken word. You can transport your message and don't shy away from feedback talks or speeches in front of the team.

The Deal

  • Location: Vienna
  • Weekly hours: 38,5
  • Salary: The salary for this position is at 4.500EUR gross per month and with a performance based bonus. Your experience and qualifications can influence the final amount.
